Two pitched roofs are the sure sign of quality German ceramics of the 1950s/70s.
This vase appeared in one of my favorite haunts and just at the time that i had ordered the book on Fat Lava. I have a link on my site for this informative book.
According to the author this is a Luxus range in Prehistoric style design which is Very Rare..by Heuckeroth or Peter.
So as per my last blog i have presented two rather rare vases and ...yes...there are more to come. Also i have listed 7 new large floor vases and in the coming week i will be adding a range of smaller vases for a while amounst them some real gems.It will certainly be a treat to visit the shop for Fat Lava and German ceramics from the 50s to 70s.
this above vase pictured here is posted in the shop.

An absolutely stunning find in the vase featured here. At an outside antique fair i found this one perched high up on a cupboard.Any retailer will tell u that those items high up or low down are slow sellers. On spotting this one and thinking...oh its damaged...i held my breath only to find it is in perfect condition...so it became my baby with a 49cm dia and 49cm height and so precious to hold and hug.
So its finally listed in the shop...have a look!Jasba!!Jasba! Jasba!!
If u have seen another i would love to hear from u.
I have also listed some German Ceramic floor vases Scheurich Cartens
Jasba. In the coming days i will be listing some different factories for u to peruse.
Have fun.

here is one of those rare finds with kilometers travelled to find it.
A tatty shop on the roadside hailed me into the doors, well to be true any shop will attract me..a shopping holic.Dusty and rather stacked with goods, most of which i would not consider buying, this little gem called me from afar..screaming buy me buy me.To my surprise finding this one with a studio mark and number and a purple glaze then decorated with yellow green and black with double gourd handles.
In the next week i will also feature here and in the shop a collection of large floor vases that have survided those accidents that destroy these large pieces so easily.
Enjoy.

WELL IT HAS TAKEN ME SOME TIME IN SETTING UP THE NEW LOOK SITE
AND RE LOADING ALL THE CURRENT STOCK, TIME CONSUMING BUT I AM NOW HAPPY WITH THE OVERALL LOOK.
MY NEXT TASK IS TO CONTINUOUSLY ADD 5 TO 10 ITEMS EACH DAY AND TO FEATURE IN THE BLOG NEW ITEMS THAT ARE FRESH TO THE MARKET.
RECENTLY FOUND IS A STUNNING RUSSIAN ENAMEL CHAMBER CANDLESTICK WITH THE CENTRE IN MUTTON JADE, ALL IN WONDERFUL CONDITION.

MY TRAVELS HAVE YIELDED SOME VERY SPECIAL ITEMS....YES U GUESSED IT....FAT LAVA...IT NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME WHAT WAS CREATED FOR THE MARKET PLACE AND THE PLITHORA OF SIZES AND SHAPES.THERE HAS BEEN MUCH SAID ABOUT WHETHER IT IS FAT LAVA OR NOT.
WELL I CALL CERTAIN ARTICLES FAT LAVA AND THE OTHERS DESCRIBING EACH ITEM TO THE DEGREE OF LAVA FORMED ON THE ARTICLE BEARING IN MIND THAT EACH ARTICLE IS HAND MADE AND NO TWO ARE REALLY PRECISELY THE SAME.

I GUESS OVER TIME THERE WILL BE CLARITY IN THIS RESPECT AS THERE IS VERY LITTLE DATA ON GERMAN CERAMICS OF THIS NATURE.PERHAPS A NEW BOOK IS IN THE PIPELINE.I HAVE MANY EXAMPLES WITH ORIGINAL TAGS STICKERS WITH THE NUMBERS RAISED OR IMPRESSED.ALL THESE ARE AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE TO PERUSE.

An exciting weekend spent in Montreux high up in the mountains with the most amazing sights of mountains mountains and more mountains covered in snow with the great sunrise and sunsets..stilled with quietness and hot air balloons drifting across the sky.
i could not wait to get back and share with u the latest find a massive lamp made by the Dummler Breiden factory in western Germany. The lamp has a wonderful red gaze with a strong copper glaze running into the red glaze and stands a whopping 55cm high and in perfect condition. The picture is not true to the color which is a brilliant red and then with the copper glaze drip.
I have as yet to see another even to compare so to say that this is a rare piece is true. The quality finish is of superb quality and well proportioned finishing off in a finely finished base with impressed marks.
So to anyone wanting to visit the mountains and the marmottes...go here Montreux and in french.
To see the lamp...go,,,Lamp
